Today is my last day in Colorado. At least for now. I have a heavy heart, but also a hopeful one.
Words that do justice the feeling I have for all of those here that I leave behind...are words that escape me. But I can't help feeling that my life here in Colorado has ended on a high note. I am surrounded by the best family a guy could ask for, and by friends that at one point in my life, I could only dream of having.
As I pack up and head East, know that my heart is with you all. I can't wait to dive in to this new chapter in my life and milk the adventure for all it's worth. The wealth of my emotions right now begs for a much longer blog entry, but instead, I'll end with a quote from Walt Whitman that seems fitting:
I went to the woods because I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life! And not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
I'll update again once I get set up at school. Until then...it's off to the woods.
